Not only is bamboo a sustainable superhero, its regenerative fibres are naturally smooth, enabling it to transform into a luxuriously soft texture when made into toilet roll. How many sheets are in a roll, and how long do they last?
Each roll is 380 sheets, triple-ply and built to last—so you won’t be running to the shop (or the loo) every five minutes. More sheets, less panic.
How does the price compare?
Homethings rolls are priced at 27p per 100 sheets which is cheaper than major leading supermarket AND eco brands. Always compare the per sheet cost as not all rolls are made equal e.g. Andrex Family Soft pack is typically 170 sheets per roll whereas our rolls are 380 sheets!
How soft and strong is bamboo toilet paper compared to regular toilet paper?
Bamboo fibres are naturally soft. Ours is 3-ply bamboo with a special emboss for softness on the outside. It’s soft enough for your tush and tough enough not to crumble under pressure.
Why is Homethings toilet paper brown and not white?
It’s just the natural colour of the fibres. No bleach, no dyes, just 100% unbleached bamboo in its natural glory. We think brown is a better look anyway. Who decided toilet paper needed to be white, anyway?
How does Homethings source its bamboo and is it ethically certified?
We only use FSC-certified bamboo, which means it’s grown and harvested responsibly, without clear-cutting forests or messing with local ecosystems. No shady deforestation. Just good, clean growing.
Why are your rolls individually wrapped?
We decided to individually wrap our rolls with tissue paper mainly to protect them in transit and in your home. As we supply boxes of 24 rolls they need to be kept clean and free of dust or damp for up to 6-12months at a time. The extra resource usage is minimal compared to potentially wasting whole rolls of toilet paper. And they look great.
