TOILET PAPER IS A DIRTY BUSINESS
We’re chopping down millions of trees a year to make chemically bleached rolls wrapped in single-use plastic. Bonkers.
Bamboo grows like lightning (up to a metre a day!) without needing replanting, pesticides or a tonne of water, making it the dream sustainable material. Not only is bamboo a sustainable superhero, its regenerative fibres are naturally smooth, enabling it to transform into a luxuriously soft texture when made into toilet roll. Every sheet provides a plush pillow for your bum. Heaven in 3 ply.

We’ve spent the last year working (and wiping) our way through a LOT of toilet roll. We've made what we and our testers think is the best roll in town. It's sustainable and it will look great in your bathroom, that's for sure. But importantly its cheaper than leading brands AND more durable and soft than our bamboo competitors. Wipe right.
SWIPE LEFT on plastic wrapped, white bleached, deforesty loo rolls. WIPE RIGHT with Homethings.
Each roll is 380 sheets, triple-ply and built to last—so you won’t be running to the shop (or the loo) every five minutes. More sheets, less panic.
Homethings rolls are priced at 27p per 100 sheets which is cheaper than major leading supermarket AND eco brands. Always compare the per sheet cost as not all rolls are made equal e.g. Andrex Family Soft pack is typically 170 sheets per roll whereas our rolls are 380 sheets!
Bamboo fibres are naturally soft. Ours is 3-ply bamboo with a special emboss for softness on the outside. It’s soft enough for your tush and tough enough not to crumble under pressure.
It’s just the natural colour of the fibres. No bleach, no dyes, just 100% unbleached bamboo in its natural glory. We think brown is a better look anyway. Who decided toilet paper needed to be white, anyway?
We only use FSC-certified bamboo, which means it’s grown and harvested responsibly, without clear-cutting forests or messing with local ecosystems. No shady deforestation. Just good, clean growing.
We decided to individually wrap our rolls with tissue paper mainly to protect them in transit and in your home. As we supply boxes of 24 rolls they need to be kept clean and free of dust or damp for up to 6-12months at a time. The extra resource usage is minimal compared to potentially wasting whole rolls of toilet paper. And they look great.
